Ett rum by Nordic Standard presents "En los límites" by Ciuco Gutierrez, an exhibition that brings together the photographer's most revealing artistic career. The personal imaginary that reigns in his creations visits us in the form of an artistic journey in an exclusive and close space.

Ciuco is a maker of images that questions us, confronts us with our private space and asks us where the limits are. What is creative and what is original? What is simple or what is close? Is there a real limit between reality and fiction? Or between inside and outside? Childhood and maturity? Can a past time move away from the present?

The limits of photography become liquid when Ciuco uses the medium to collect a timeless reality and contains it forever. Each work becomes a continent of constructed stories, of recondite landscapes.

The viewer attends as a true voyeur to the sentinel intimacy of the author, each work allows us to engage in a dialogue with a personal creativity. We become intrusive outsiders who investigate each photograph, observing a fiction from a closeness that suspects the limits.

Ciuco builds his personal language from proximity and unites common spaces through recognizable objects and places. We witness small stories rescued from childhood (is it possible to limit it?) and we are led to uncreated frontiers, to stories connected to each other and that, through an artistic whole, refer to historical, literary and personal moments.

We pry into the different creative nooks and crannies of the author, we fix our attention on the color, on the composition that finally offers us a concert of stories, custodians of a cycle.

The spectator becomes a fortunate intruder of that intimate and private moment. An imaginative ingenuity that gives free rein to our personal inventiveness and brings us closer to the artist's inner compendiums.
